The Desert Springs Golf Course 6179 metres par 72 is the only desert golf course in Europe designed by Peter McEvoy. Desert Springs on Almeria's Almanzora coast is designed to test the worlds best players built to the full USGA specifications and quality standards of the famous desert courses of Arizona and California.

The many different tees bunker placements and position of the hazards present more of a challenge when played from the forward tees. However the course can be enjoyed by players of all different standards.

The fairways are generous allowing the less professional player room to improve his game.

The landscape that surrounds the Indiana is breathtaking, water courses, springs, dried up river beds, huge rocks, cacti, all strategically positioned. There are practice facilities, putting and chipping green, 22 bay covered driving range 2000m² grass practice area, six more practice greens. The Marina de la Torre 5700 metres par 72. This course will Attract golfers seeking a new challenge. Split in two 9 holes the marina offers a different terrain, parkland trees water lakes and breathtaking scenery surrounds you. A very spacious clubhouse a must for all golfers.

Please note that there is to be a third golf course set up in the mountains in this area where we have just started a small urbanization of 30 luxury two, three and four bedroom villas. All three golf courses are 30 minutes drive from property developments.

The List is endless and the answer is Yes, though we recommend that you try some of the Spanish brand names they are excellent value as well. In Albox there are 5 large supermarkets carrying a huge selection of across the board products, they also have their own fresh meat and fish counters giving you the customer the widest choice possible. There are also many smaller shops dotted all around the area.

Pets and Vets

Yes most of us British love our animals and so when moving abroad we are often faced with the daunting decision, will our pets be able to receive treatment, will they still be able to get their favourite treats and how do I explain that my dog, cat, animal needs treatment. Well there are several veterinary practices in Mojacar and Garrucha they speak English and indeed have a very well run practice.

However much closer to the Los Carrascos site there is a veterinary surgeon named Juan Jesus Teruel Jimenez (veterinario colegiado No.257) C/Rulador No.26, 04800 Albox, Tel: 950 120 123 or mobile 629 812 222. He speaks very good English and also has very well run practice. So if its anything you want from flea spray, worm tablets, vaccinations, consultations, surgery, blood analysis, ultra sound teeth cleaning, micro chipping, pet passports (including all paperwork), health checks, home visits (24hrs 7 days a week) and a very modern X Ray department all in the same building then Juan's veterinary surgery is the place to register your animals. All these services are provided at a fraction of the prices charged by our UK veterinary surgeons but still receiving the highest level of treatment.

We must not forget those little favourites such as Friskies, whiskers, felix, pedigree chum, cat and dog treats and many more brands available from supermarkets or vets.
